New Freshmen UA Scholarships and Grants

Akron Advantage Blue College Scholarships and Grants
This is an annual scholarship which is awarded to successful applicants at an annual $6,500 to students that are not residents of Ohio. As an applicant, you will need to have maintained an average high school GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, an ACT score of at least 21, or if you are using SAT scores, a minimum of 980 in math and critical reading.
Akron Advantage Gold Scholarships & Grants
This scholarship is awarded to students with the annual value of $9,000. The applicants, who are not residents of the state of Ohio, must obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 on the 4.0 scale. Apart from that, it is mandatory that the applicants are in the top 10% of their class in high school. The applicant must also have attained at least a score of 25 in their ACT, or at least 1130 in their SAT.
In as much as you do not need to hand in an application for the scholarship and financial aid programs above, there are some scholarships wherein you will have to apply for consideration.
Honors Scholarships Grants
While applying for these scholarships and grants, you do not necessarily need to send in your application, but it is mandatory that you send in an application to the Honors College, from which the awards committee will determine your eligibility status.
Early application for this college scholarship programs is open up to November 1st, while the normal application deadline is often set to 1st February unless of course new information is made available to that extent.
Applicants must make sure that they maintain at least a 3.50 in their GPA scores, 27 in their ACT, 1200 in the SAT math and reading, and 1800 in SAT writing, math and reading. Besides that you have to be within the top 10% of your class.
